3 Clean Energy Organizations You Should Know

When you join the renewable energy workforce, you become a part of a larger community of people who share your interest in creating cleaner energy sources. Whether you’re pursuing a career in solar energy, or another sector of the renewable energy industry such as energy efficiency, there are several organizations you can get involved with.

Here are three organizations you should know about to get started.

Solar City

SolarCity Corporation is part of Tesla, Inc. that specializes in solar energy panels and is headquartered in San Mateo, CA. SolarCity markets, manufactures, services and installs residential and commercial solar panels in the US.

International Renewable Energy Agency

IREA exemplifies international governments working together to implement and advance clean energy. Founded in 2009 it is now comprised of over 160 member states.  IREA predicts rapid growth of clean energy, watch them closely. 

Global Wind Energy Council

Formed in 2005, the GWEC came up out of a whirlwind and is now headquartered in Brussels, Belgium.  Proving that wind energy is a viable source of renewable energy, they are now expected to partner with other clean energy companies to thrust wind energy implementation across more countries than ever thought possible.
